Rachel’s Ginger Beer

Is Rachel’s Ginger Beer the best ginger beer in the world? I don’t know but if not, it may be close!

Rachel’s Ginger Beer (RGB) is simply handcrafted in Seattle from ginger roots, organic cane sugar, and fresh lemons. And it is super tasty!

Besides the traditional ginger beer, RGB also offers seasonal flavors like pink guava, white peach, blood orange, passion fruit… My favorite is blood orange.

There are 2 locations where you can stop by and have a Moscow Mule (you chose the ginger beer flavor for your cocktail) or a simple Ginger Beer. You can also pick up a growler of fresh ginger beer to bring back home.

At Pike Market, it can be found at the former Seattle Best Coffee’s location:

In Capitol Hill on 12th street, when the sun shines, you can enjoy your beverage outdoor.

Le Pichet

I like this cozy nice little place, which really looks like a French Bistro. Le Pichet is a few blocks from Pike Market on First avenue. If you want to escape the touristy crowds of the Market, this is the place to go.

The lunch menu is quite short but you can start with some good baguette and butter.

Tuna Salad: House-made albacore tuna conserve, baby romaine, marinated Orca beans, red onion, oregano and spice-roasted Delicata squash. The tuna conserve was delicious, and the beans and squash were comforting.

The heavy French onion soup (caramelised onion soup with crouton and gruyère cheese): a perfect dish for a cold windy day.

Otherwise the Assiette de fromages or the Assiette de charcuterie is always a goo choice!

They have a good by the glass or pichet French wine list. Pichet is a small pitcher (pictured below).

And last but not least, service was super nice.

Le Caviste, Wine Bar

Le Caviste is a small and cozy place, ideal for a glass wine and some delicious cheeses and charcuterie.

They only serve French wine but no need to be a connoisseur, the waiter will help you choose what they think you will like  It is not a snobbish Wine Bar with a fake French style, but an authentic and very friendly place. It really reminded us of France.

Everything we had was very good: saucisson, tome, terrine, French butter, cornichons, and bread (refilled without asking).

Great place to go for a Happy hour or before heading to the theatre or a concert.
