Choosing the best burger in Seattle is always very controversial. But this is our pick. Not a fancy place, but their burgers are so tasty thanks to a secret slightly smoky sauce and amazing bacon. Their locations are very small so you may have to sit outside.

Go to Red Mill Totem House if you are around the Ballard Locks or on your way to Golden Gardens Park.

Once again the food was excellent! This is really one of my favorite restaurants in Seattle.
The place is small and cozy. Host, waiters, and manager are all friendly.
We had hamachi ceviche with citrus-cucumber ice, coriander and pickled red onions.
The roasted porcini-ricotta raviolis melted in the mouth.
Delicious pan seared cod with chanterelles and squash.
The Chocolate Terrine salted caramel with chocolate gelato was incredible.

I have a bias for French wines and we have always fund very good wines at Mkt.

Just writing this makes me hungry and I already want to go back.

Mkt. is one of the latest Ethan Stowell restaurants. Situated south of Green Lake, its name comes from the neighborhood name and streets: Meridian, Keystone & Tangletown.

We went there this week for the first time and it was a great surprise. The dishes on the menu were all very appealing and I could not decide what to order. The meats, fish and veggies were all tempting. We ended up with 4 dishes to share:

– Dungeness crab, endive, fennel, and apple salad
– Grilled rabbit & frisée bacon salad
– Vegetable tajine, dates, and preserved lemon
– Smoked mushroom, sweet potato gnocchi with crispy shallots

It was full of flavor and you could feel the attention to detail in each dish. Everything was so tasty that we had to have a look at the desserts menu and… The blood orange sorbet was amazing!
