Stateside is a restaurant that opened last Winter in Capitol Hill. I wanted to go there because I really loved their decor with green walls and palmy greens on the wall paper!
They serve Vietnamese cuisine with Chinese and French influences. We went there for lunch and the menu was simple: salads, sandwiches, soups and noodles.
Here are the dishes that we ordered and enjoyed, because they are all fresh and tasty.
Crispy duck fresh rolls
Green Papaya salad, lime, long beans, tomatoes, dried shrimp and beef jerky
Baby Kale salad with avocado, pomelo, crispy shallots and sesame seeds vinaigrette
Lime leaf tofu, lemongrass, on rice vermicelli, crispy shallots, herbs and nuoc cham
It was a great experience. This place is perfect because not too loud for business lunch or meet with friends. I need to go back for dinner.
