Mistral Kitchen is always a good idea

It is always a pleasure to be at MistralKitchen even if the menu does not really change. For lunch or dinner, it is always a good idea. You can also choose to sit at the bar, for a glass of “Champagne du moment” or a great cocktail, and some small plates. They also have sidewalk tables with a nice view of the Space Needle.

Hamachi crudo, Italian charcuterie plate, and all the desserts are my favorites but Foie Gras Torchon, Seared Foie Gras, Manila Clams, Cheeses, Robuchon Potatoes, and Chicken are always delicious. For lunch, they serve a large and delicious wood-fired pizza (Tomato, Prosciutto di San Daniele and Arugula) and a fantastic salad with buratta.

Skate Space in Beacon Hill

It is hard to miss this 22 feet tall beautiful red structure in Jefferson Park. Oregon artist CJ Rench is the man behind this huge red sculpture in Beacon Hill. It was created in association with skateboarder Torey Puwill to make it skatable. I would have loved to spot a skater, but not one in sight at the time I was there.

Kubota Japanese Garden

Kubota Garden is a peaceful Japanese garden in south Seattle, a little bit in the middle of nowhere. Mr. Kubota, a Japanese immigrant, created this garden in 1927.

It is a free public garden and some areas are not well maintained but some parts such as the waterfalls and the bridge are really aesthetic and worth the visit.

Make sure to grab a map at the entrance!
