Skillet Street Food is 10 years old!

Skillet is 10 years old! Yes, it all began in 2007 with a cool old Airstream Food Truck. At that time, there were not that many Food Trucks around the city.

Throwback to Summer 2008 when we discovered how tasty and cool Street Food could be!

That day, we had the Thai cured duck confit with rice, coconut curry and peanuts and “The” Burger with Kobe beef, arugula and the famous Bacon Jam!

Skillet is a good option if you are hungry for some tasty and creative comfort food. It is a little pricey but this is the price for quality ingredients.

Back in 2017:

Here’s where you can find the Skillet Street Food on a regular basis or check the website for updates:
Every Thursday and Friday: McGraw Square at 5th & Olive
Every Thursday: Downtown Bellevue at 106th & 6th

Little Brother,A Great Spot in Kirkland

Exciting news! With Little Brother, you have now a new cool option for coffee and lunch on the Eastside. They also offer dinner, but I have not tried it yet.

I have been going to Deru Market for months and love them. It is always crowded for lunch, so I was super excited when I learned they opened Little Brother.

There is more space at Little Brother so it is easier to find a table. I like this space because it is really bright. The only con is that it can be really noisy at lunch time. But it is super quiet in the morning (they open at 7am). Because they offer free wi-fi, I am sitting there right now writing this post!

The staff is super nice, attentive, and welcoming.

Need some comfort food? Grab a pastry.

And last but not least, the food is creative and delicious, made with healthy, locally sourced, and seasonal ingredients. Salads, soups, tartines (open sandwiches)… everything is very tasty!
