Theo Chocolate

Theo makes the best chocolates in the Seattle area! Not only are they delicious but they are also the first organic and Fair Trade chocolate factory in the country!
Their flavors include classics such as dark, milk, and hazelnut as well as more exotic kinds like Chai tea, coconut curry, and Fig Fennel.
You can find most of the bars in supermarkets and online but you should definitely go to their factory and store in Fremont. They offer all their products, samplers as well as their small delicious confections pieces. They are pricey so make sure you enjoy them!

If you have time, go and tour the factory:

Hommage opens

Update: Hommage has closed on 8/15/2015
Hommage is a new restaurant on north Queen Ann along the ship canal. It replaces the Book Bindery but the decor has not really changed. The modern greenhouse is also still there.
The restaurant opened last week with French Chef Nico Borzee, (previously at Artusi).
We had a “Tarte” with roasted seasonal veggie and green coriander, flavorful but not really a Tarte. Tasty cheeses with very good Chiroubles red wine (Fabien Collonges) and we shared a Tatin.

I was also happy to listen to Keren Ann singing “Jardin d’hiver”…
Hommage has potential. We will likely try again.
