My favorite spot of the summer

Tomorrow is September 23rd: the official start of fall.

But just in case we have more beautiful sunny days like today, I wanted to share one of my favorite memories of this summer.

We went there for dinner with my family and out-of-town guests several times.

Why do I love this place? Two reasons: the location and the food!

On Alki Beach, on Harbor Ave, at the end of the Taxi Boat Terminal with a fantastic view of Seattle skyline.

Then the food! Korean and Hawaiian style, fresh and tasty.

Chophouse Row

Chophouse Row is a new alley that opened in May, connecting 11th and 12th Ave between Union and Pike, in Capitol Hill. When you walk through this narrow alley with stores and terraces, you can see the remains of a 1924 building that has been transformed. There is no roof but they kept the beams and old cement.

Along the row you can find amongst others, the neighborhood café Chop Shop, Niche (garden products and decoration hanged like an exhibit), and Kurt Farm Shop (ice cream and cheese). Read my post about the best chocolate ice cream in Seattle

Eggs Benedict and Pancakes

We have been going to this place for 8 years now and nothing has changed. They have served the same traditional american breakfast/brunch menu for years. This is not a fancy place, but I like the very casual and family ambiance and the always friendly staff.

Be aware that portions are huge! My order is always the same: Eggs Benedict and Pancakes!
