Brunch in Buenos Aires at Joule

In April we went back to Joule for brunch. This time, the buffet featured Argentinian flavors. And once again, it was delicious, surprising, flavorful, and unique.

We enjoyed cocktails in the patio before being seated.

From the menu, I had the coriander yogurt with coconut granola and rhubarb, and my two friends chose the Steak Coulotte with cilantro chimichurri and eggs.

And then we enjoyed the Buenos Aires buffet. May is Mexican Brunch.

Read my previous posts about Joule, yes I know I am a fan…

Brunch at Brass Tacks

Brass Tacks is a great place in Georgetown we discovered a few weeks ago. In a few words: live music, games, comfort food, and nice decor.

In a very convivial and modest atmosphere, we had a great time listening to an amazing pianist playing nonstop during one hour. The decor is very nice and entertaining with a very large bar, an open kitchen, art on brick walls, old-fashioned lights, and live plants on the walls.

We played a game of Shuffleboard on very nice table. A foosball table is also available.

We began with cocktails, a perfect Moscow Mule in a copper mug for Monsieur and a delicious Grapefruit Mimosa for myself.

Then, from a short and classic brunch menu, we chose:
– Scrambled eggs with seasonal roasted vegetables, shaved sheep cheese, and greens
– Washington grass fed burger with cheddar, melted onions, and house pickles and aioli
Everything was very tasty and fresh.

This is a fabulous place to spend time with friends or family.

Unique Brunch at Joule

For a delicious brunch that differs from your traditional American bacon and eggs, check out this place.

We already enjoyed going to Joule for dinner (Joule is a jewel) and I couldn’t wait to try their brunch. And oh my… it is at the same level and it did not disappoint us.

You choose an entree from the menu and help yourself to the buffet. They change the theme monthly for the buffet. When we went in February it was Cajun and I tried all the dishes! Unique, surprising and flavorful!

Sincerely, these guys are gifted. They also run REVEL (Winter Lunch at Revel and Sunday Day at Revel) and opened a new one (TROVER) that I need to check out some day.

It is $17 for entrée and buffet and they also offer a kids option at $10 (eggs and toasts and buffet included).

Brunch on Saturdays and Sundays.

I highly recommend making a reservation.
