Almost Summer at Marination Makai

If you are around Alki Beach on a sunny or at least clear day, I have a suggestion for you. Marination Makai with Hawaiian specialities, umbrellas, deck, and an awesome view of the Seattle skyline is the perfect spot.

And for a little adventure, if you come from Seattle Downtown, take the Water Taxi. Marination is just in front of you at the Water Taxi Dock.

Brunch in Buenos Aires at Joule

In April we went back to Joule for brunch. This time, the buffet featured Argentinian flavors. And once again, it was delicious, surprising, flavorful, and unique.

We enjoyed cocktails in the patio before being seated.

From the menu, I had the coriander yogurt with coconut granola and rhubarb, and my two friends chose the Steak Coulotte with cilantro chimichurri and eggs.

And then we enjoyed the Buenos Aires buffet. May is Mexican Brunch.

Read my previous posts about Joule, yes I know I am a fan…

First outdoor lunch at Terra Plata

Spring has sprung! Temperature was 63°F today in a sunny Seattle.
This morning I was in a mood for an outdoor lunch, so I looked for a restaurant that had already set up their tables on a patio or terrace. I opted for Terra Plata because of its beautiful rooftop.

I had a Moroccan Steak Sandwich: Pita bread with hanger steak, feta, minted yogurt, greens, and olives. The pita was warm and the steak was flavorful. This is a nicely sized dish for lunch.
My friend had a salad: Local Albacore Niçoise with seared tuna, spinach, tomato, fennel, vegetable, soft boiled egg, and bagna cauda. Not a traditional Salade Niçoise but the tuna was perfectly seared and the greens were very fresh.

It was a perfect lunch!
